3 Time Management techniques to use today

I used to seriously suck at time management

1. Setting vague daily goals

2. Losing personal time to work

3. Underestimating task durations

4. Skipping breaks to get more done

5. Enduring endless, unfocused meetings

6. Committing to tasks beyond my capacity

7. Watching my stress levels steadily increase

8. Sacrificing my mental health for "productivity"

9. Feeling constantly behind and never catching up

10. Believing multitasking was the key to productivity

I never had enough time to get anything done

I would get burned out

Sound familiar?

You're not alone

Here are three of my favourite strategies to take control of your time:

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅:

↳Learn the meaning of Urgency and Importance and why they are different

↳Categorise every task based on its level of Urgency and Importance

↳Plan your days so you can focus on what's really important to you

𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲:

↳Break work into 25 minute sprints with breaks in between

↳Prevents burnout and trains your brain to be focused and productive

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴:

↳Plan exactly when you will

work on certain tasks

↳Split your day into themes or topics

↳Set aside time when you cannot be disturbed

Mastering time management isn't about doing more

It's about 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁

→ What's your biggest time management struggle?

→ What techniques work best for you?

If you see your own struggles, or those of your team, reflected in my story and you're seeking a way out, I’m here to help.

These are just a few of the time management techniques I train on. They can help to transform both your productivity and your happiness.
